Over the weekend Lively shared a selfie on Instagram sporting her take on picnic table fashion with a blue gingham dress and a colorful pearl necklace featuring a strawberry pendant. She paid homage to another summer trend—strawberry girl makeup—by adding music to the post: Deana Carter’s nostalgic country ballad “Strawberry Wine.”
This season clothing brands, influencers, and celebrities like Blake Lively have been drawing on the abundance of the farmers market for inspiration.
Last month, while grabbing lunch in Paris with husband Ryan Reynolds, Lively demonstrated summer layering done right in a floral-print maxi button-down shirtdress. Over the dress the Gossip Girl star wore a light camel duster sweater. And on top of that she wore a navy blue overcoat with vertical white stripes. Lively finished the look with a pair of sneakers, striped tube socks, and a hot pink crossbody bag.
