Gigi Hadid showcased a sleek pair of blue kitten heels by Khaite while shooting a new commercial for Maybelline in New York City on Wednesday. The supermodel slipped into the Manhattan-based brand’s Seville pumps.
Hadid has not only hit the runway at Khaite fashion shows but has also been seen wearing the trendy brand on various occasions in recent years. She has stepped out in Western-inspired Khaite boots and toted their popular Beatrice hobo bag.
Khaite’s Seville V-Line pumps in slate blue debuted as a part of Khaite’s fall 2022 collection. The style boasts a velvety suede upper, an elongated, pointy toe, and a v-shaped vamp. The low heel measures under 2 inches tall. Also called “V-neck” pumps, the Italian-crafted kitten heels are sold out online. However, resale sites like The RealReal and Poshmark are offering them for around $400.
Khaite was founded by Catherine Holstein in 2016 but shot to fame in 2019 after celebrities like Katie Holmes, Kendall Jenner and Meghan Markle showed love for the brand. The same year, Khaite partnered with Net-a-Porter to launch an exclusive collection of accessories and shoes that included preppy loafers and stilettos.
The name Khaite (pronounced Kate) was inspired by Holstein’s nickname, Cate. The brand is best known for its cashmere, knitwear and Japanese denim.
