On Thursday, October 10, the renowned romance publisher Harlequin revealed an ambitious plan to adapt 28 of its beloved novels into films and series over the next three years. This initiative marks an exciting partnership with independent production company Centinel Media, with aims to deliver uplifting romantic entertainment that resonates with both fans of the books and new audiences.

 

A Cinematic Universe of Love Stories

Starting in 2025, Harlequin and Centinel Media will bring to life a selection of titles that promise to create a vibrant cinematic universe centered around love and relationships. Among the adaptations slated for 2025 are standout titles like Savvy Sheldon Feels Good as Hell by Taj McCoy and The Dachshund Wears Prada by Stefanie London. Other notable book adaptations include Sweet on You by Carla de Guzman and Ordinary Girl in a Tiara by Jessica Hart. Notably, there will also be a film inspired by the popular Montana Mavericks series.

Authors Share Their Excitement

The announcement has elicited excitement from the authors involved. McCoy expressed her joy on social media, reminding followers that even amidst challenges, blessings can emerge. London echoed similar sentiments, thanking her readers for their support, saying, “so many of you have read this book and told me you thought it would make a great romcom movie… it’s a total bucket list career item.” The collaboration seeks to not only encapsulate the essence of Harlequin’s stories but also to bring delight to the loyal readership.
