Actor Josh Duhamel has recently opened up about his relationship with wife Audra Mari, highlighting their 21-year age difference. Initially, Duhamel thought Audra was “too young” to be dating him when they first connected online. As fellow North Dakota natives, their friendship began with no romantic interest, as Duhamel stated, “it was truly platonic for years.” He resolutely decided that pursuing a romantic relationship was off the table.

Despite Duhamel’s initial reservations, things started to change when he invited Audra to a barbecue. Upon meeting her in person, he began to see her in a different light, noting her maturity. “She’s more mature than I am,” he mentioned during a podcast interview, which ultimately led to them starting to date in late 2018. Since marrying in September 2022, their family life has thrived, marked by the joy of welcoming their son, Shepherd, just a few months after tying the knot. The couple enjoys a quieter lifestyle in rural Minnesota, where Duhamel prioritizes family time and making lasting memories. He explains that his goal is for both of his sons, Axl and Shepherd, to grow up in an environment that values experiences over luxuries. Duhamel states, “It’s really about family.
