The ASEAN Rights Fair (ARF) is set to take place from May 23 to 25, 2025, at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL). This annual event aims to highlight the future of the publishing industry in Southeast Asia, providing a platform for professionals to engage in copyright trading and explore the diverse publishing landscape across the region.

Event Details and Activities
According to Ms. Trasvin Jittidecharak, Secretary General of the ASEAN Publishers Association, the fair will operate daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, specifically on the 3rd floor in the Redang area of WTCKL. The event is concurrent with the Kuala Lumpur Book Fair, thus enriching the experience for attendees. Organized by Perbadanan Kota Buku, a key player under the Malaysian Ministry of Education, the ARF plays a pivotal role in revitalizing and promoting the literacy sector.

This year’s edition promises to attract leaders, publishing professionals, copyright agents, and partners from around the ASEAN region. Ms. Adibah Binti Omar, Executive Director of Kota Buku, has emphasized the fair’s expanding influence as a hub for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and cross-border copyright transactions.
